Niland recognizes the future of lighting lies in Solid State devices and has developed a complete product line of LED retrofit kits and complete luminaires.

Niland LED products offer significant advantages far beyond what traditional HID fixtures can offer.

Recently a 100,000 square foot warehouse was completely retrofitted with LED based high bay luminaires.

Here is a breakdown of what the LED installation achieved:

1. The original HID lamps were consuming 380watts @ 277VAC, ( the customer had 360 watt MH bulbs in place of the 400MH in an attempt to save energy )
2. The total wattage used by the MH lighting is 118,180 Watts or 118.1 Kilowatts.
3. The new LED high bay luminaires use only 170 watts @ 277VAC and were exchanged one for one with the MH HID fixtures.
4. The total wattage used for lighting the warehouse is now only 52,870 watts or 52.8 Kilowatts, an energy savings of 65,310 Watts or 65.3 Kilowatts.
5. The new LED installation is saving the customer 55.3% in the amount of electricity used to light the warehouse with no reduction in illumination.
6. Higher foot candle readings were obtained after the LED installation when compared to the foot candles readings taken before the installation began.
7. A survey completed by the customer shows that they are extremely pleased with the LED high bay installation.
